FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - Shoppers are already putting together their black Friday plans in the Tri-State. 

Hungry shoppers are prepared to stand in line for hours looking for the big bargain. Store stock rooms are filled with the prized presents that these folks covet. And once they hit the store shelves its a mad dash to save cash.

The theme of this one day is anything and everything - Christmas- and those who partake in the Friday frenzy swear by its allure. 

"But its fun. You get out there get hyped up for the Christmas season.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Cincinnati and New-York based Macy's is rolling back its Black Friday opening hour all the way to midnight, and leading its collection of "doorbuster" discounts with a Justin Bieber fragrance gift set.

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - The City of Florence will hold its annual City Auction on Friday, October 28 at 9am (viewing at 8am) at the Public Services Maintenance Facility, 7850 Tanners Lane.

Larry Burcham of Boone County will serve as the event’s auctioneer.

Some of the discarded items will include miscellaneous computer and office equipment, furniture, vehicles, etc. All sales are final.

A detailed list of items was made available online on Friday, October 14 and is available at the office of City Clerk Joe Christofield, Florence Government Center, 8100 Ewing Boulevard, Florence, KY 41042.

Blue Ash kid wins $500 shopping spree with Indy winner

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - IZOD IndyCar series driver and reigning Indianapolis 500 champion Dan Wheldon took a lucky fan on a $500 IZOD shopping spree at the Florence Mall Macy’s Saturday. 

Trey Taylor, an 8-year-old from Blue Ash, won the IZOD shopping spree with Wheldon after entering to win at the IZOD IndyCar Series Transporter display and parade Downtown last Wednesday night. 

Wheldon finished 14th in the Kentucky Indy 300 Sunday after staring in the 28th position in the 29 car field.
