CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Qdoba Mexican Grill, the leading fast-casual restaurant known for its fresh and innovative Mexican cuisine, will hold the grand opening of its first Western Hills location on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at 6173 Glenway Ave in Westwood.  To celebrate, Qdoba will welcome guests with exclusive deals and samples of its signature 3-Cheese Queso.

On Monday, guests who visit the new Qdoba location will enjoy 50 percent off an entrée and samples of Qdoba’s handmade chips and 3-Cheese Queso. On Tuesday, guests can spin the Qdoba Wheel for a chance to win coupons and other prizes. The grand-opening celebration will then continue into February with Qdoba offering $5 entrees daily after 5 p.m. from Jan. 31 – 29, 2012.

MONTGOMERY, OH (FOX19) - Gold Star Chili will host a reception at its Montgomery Road location in Montgomery Friday for Blue Ash native PFC Paul Virgil Kelley and 30 of his friends and family.  PFC Kelley surprised his family by returning home for a visit on Christmas Day after a 12-month tour of duty in Afghanistan. 

Kelley is a 2001 graduate from Goshen High School.  He joined the Army in December of 2009 and after completing basic training in April 2010 in Fort Jackson, SC, continued with Advanced Individual Training at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.  He was then stationed at Fort Hood, TX and immediately deployed to Afghanistan for 12 months with the 8th Engineering Battalion, 572nd MAC, where he was responsible for vehicle maintenance in a route clearance company.

RICHWOOD, KY (FOX19) - Just in time for Christmas, Gold Star Chili will host a reception for Northern Kentucky native Cpl Chad Ford and 30 of his friends and family.  Cpl Ford is visiting home for the holidays after his recent return from a second tour of duty in Afghanistan.  He will report back to active duty to Camp LeJeune, NC.                       

Ford is a 2008 graduate from Simon Kenton high school where he played both football and baseball.  He enlisted with the United States Marine Corps immediately after high school   He will be joined for the holiday event Thursday by his mother, Michelle Ford and stepfather, Kenny Picciriilo, his brother, Derek and sister, Amber as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Get your morning cup of coffee for free at Bruegger's Bakery.

Bruegger’s is encouraging the community to pitch in on Wednesday, November 9, when it hosts Free Coffee Day at all of its 300-plus locations from opening until 2 p.m.

Guests can enjoy their first cup on Bruegger’s while donating their spare change to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the nation.

In 2010, guests contributed more than $30,000 on Free Coffee Day.

COLUMBUS, OH - October is National Cookie Month, but Max & Erma’s in Cincinnati has already started celebrating. Starting this past evening and every Wednesday until an unknown date in the future, guests can enjoy free chocolate chip cookies. The special will end when they get tired of baking or run out of cookie dough; Max & Erma’s goal is to give away one million cookies by the end of the year. 

Guests who purchase any food item at participating restaurants, including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts, will receive two of Erma’s famous chocolate chip cookies for free. Max & Erma’s started Free Cookie Wednesdays in Pittsburgh in January.

Ft. Mitchell Graeter's celebrates grand opening

FORT MITCHELL, KY (FOX19) - Graeter's President Richard Graeter's and his sons and vice presidents Bob and Chip will join Fort Mitchell Mayor Chris Wiest at the recently-opened Graeter's on Buttermilk Pike at noon Thursday August 25 for the store's grand opening and ribbon cutting.

The event marks the formal return of the family-owned chain to Northern Kentucky.  All Northern Kentucky and Lexington Graeter's stores closed when the company ended their contract with the previous franchisee.  At the time, Graeter's said they planned to return to those markets, as they have with the store at 301 Buttermilk Pike and the reopening of the store that literally straddles the Newport/ Fort Thomas border on Grand Avenue.

Both Northern Kentucky retail locations are now company-owned and have been completely remodeled with new décor and equipment, and both stores will offer Graeter’s full line of bakery, confectionary and candy offerings.
