CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)- Two local high school football coaches are leaving their schools
to join the football coaching staff at Mt. St. Joseph.
Tom Grippa, who coached the last ten seasons at La Salle High
School, will be offensive coordinator at MSJ. Grippa also coached at
Fairfield and Elder.
MSJ head coach Rod Huber says he will meet with
Grippa Tuesday afternoon to finalize the details. La Salle has
confirmed Grippa's resignation as football coach and will release a statement
regarding the next steps for the football program later Tuesday afternoon.
Also joining the MSJ football staff is long time Boone County head
football coach Rick Thompson. Thompson, who spent nearly 30 years at
Boone County High School, will be special teams coordinator for Mt. St. Joseph.
