Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. at Florence Government Center | News
FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - The City of Florence will hold its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Program on Monday, January 21 at 3pm at the Florence Government Center, 8100 Ewing Boulevard.
The City will acknowledge Dr. King’s accomplishments as a civil rights leader and social activist.The Program will include the following:- Welcome & holiday history by Mayor Diane E. Whalen
- Dr. King’s I Have a Dream speech
- Grace of God Ministries Choir & Praise Dancers
- Freedom March around the Government Center campus
- Ringing of the Florence Freedom Bell by Mayor Whalen & Bishop Jackson
- Display in the Government Center lobby from 9am-4pm
- Refreshments
