FLORENCE, KY (FOX19)- Police arrest a suspect in two Boone County bank robberies.
Around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the Heritage Bank on US 42 near the Scheben branch of the Boone County Library was robbed.
The suspect took off with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene before officers arrived.
Detectives received numerous tips from the public after releasing the surveillance photos, and identified the suspect as Gregory Thomas Klein, 28, of Florence.
Around noon on Wednesday, detectives received an anonymous tip on Klein's whereabouts.
The tip led them to a hotel in Ft. Wright and while responding, detectives observed the suspect walking along Dixie Highway in the area of Kyles Lane in Ft. Wright.
Klein was arrested and taken to the Boone County jail.
Police have also charged him with the December 20, 2012 robbery of the same bank.
