One-alarm fire at Florence residence | News

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - Fire crews responded to the 10000 block of Cherry Lane in Florence on Wednesday for a report of a one alarm fire.

Boone County PSCC advised responding firefighters that a caller stated that there was smoke pouring out of the front door of the home and a male occupant was attempting to extinguish a fire in the basement.

When Florence firefighters arrived around 10:30am,  they were met with heavy smoke coming from the one story home. All occupants had exited the home prior to the arrival of the fire department and were accounted for.

One person was treated on scene for possible smoke inhalation but refused further treatment or transport to the hospital. There were no injuries to firefighters.

The cause of the fire was accidental and no damage estimate was available.
