Boone Sheriff's Office to hold news conference on double murder | Crime

BURLINGTON, KY (FOX19) - The Boone County Sheriff's Office will hold a news conference Wednesday on the mysterious unsolved murders of Bill and Peggy Stephenson of Florence.

The victims’ children are going to appeal to the public to provide information to the Sheriff's office to that will help solve the crime.

The Stephensons, both 74, were killed for no apparent reason and found dead in theor Florence home.  Both were volunteers, Peggy playing organ in church, and Bill taking part in a trucker's ministry.

Boone County Sheriff's Spokesperon Tom Scheben told media outlets, "I wish we were in a position to release information concerning the investigation to you but, at this point, it just isn’t possible without jeopardizing the integrity of the case."
