Kid's on the pumpkin

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - The fall drought has hurt the plants at some farm festivals in the Tri-State, but the one at the Niederman Family Farm is still chugging along.

Seven-year-old Zac Fey of Fairfield Township is shown visiting the farm with his family this weekend. His mother Joy Mitchell-Fey says they had a lot of fun, and really enjoyed the corn maze.  The farm also offers a chance to meet farm animals and eat fall food treats.

Some corn mazes in the region have been canceled after the corn crop was stunted because of the drought, and some farms have lost their pumpkin crops. Others like this one have been able to remain open.

Special delivery for the Florence Fire Department

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - The Florence Fire & EMS Department got a special delivery Friday morning courtesy of Great American Ball Park and the Cincinnati Reds. The bright red Toyota Tundra that has been prominently displayed at Great American Ball Park this season, now belongs to the Florence Fire department. They won the Tundra on September 11 at GABP when Reds manager Dusty baker spun a prize wheel during pregame ceremonies. Florence was one of eight local fire departments vying for the Tundra.

The 2010 Tundra has been at GABP since Opening Day, waiting for a player to hit one of the Toyota Tundra signs in the ballpark. One lucky fan was picked each game as a possible winner. But since a Reds player did not hit one of the signs, the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Toyota dealers wanted to donate the truck to a local fire department.
