Covington, Ky. (Aug. 8, 2013) — Gateway Community and Technical College will begin offering its Instructional Design and Learning Technology (IDL) program 100 percent online beginning with the fall semester that starts Aug. 19.
“While we will continue to offer the program via traditional classroom instruction at our facility at Odd Fellows Hall in Covington, the online delivery will offer maximum flexibility for students to complete credentials anytime, anywhere,” said Josh Heinrich, IDL instructor.
The IDL program, introduced last spring, is the first of its kind at the associate degree level in the country. “Now we are continuing to break new ground by offering our entire program via eight-week online classes,” said Heinrich. “We are really proud of what we’ve created. IDL is really a top-notch program where students can get hands-on experience in creating and designing instruction, and do it completely online.”
