It's Hats Off to Harvest Moon at Folksiders | Arts & Culture
RABBIT HASH, KY (FOX19) - A new creative collective has sprouted out of Northern Kentucky called Folksiders.
Folksiders is a consortium of artists, musicians, crafters, bakers, dealers, designers, and finders. cofounders Susan Utley and Jarrod Becker wanted to take their lifestyle and love for beauty found in wonderful, wild, old and interesting things and turn it into something they could share through an art market experience. They have gathered a core of creative folk and will be featuring them along with a monthly group of selected artisans to feature their food, findings and wares.
There will be booths scattered throughout the little river town featuring homemade and handcrafted items of pottery, jewelry, fine art, paper items, and delectable fare along with live music and antiques.
Folksiders are artisans, craftspeople, musicians, history buffs, writers, culinary enthusiasts, antique dealers, junk collectors and or anyone with a keen eye and a love for art, found objects, fun fare, forgotten treasures, handmade items, fine design, coupled with an avoidance of the mundane.
The Folksiders Market is held every second Sunday of the month from 11 a.m.to 4 p.m. The remaining days for the Market are October 14, November 11, and December 9.
The theme for September 9 is Hats Off To Harvest Moon!
While the 2012 summer comes to an end, it’s time to fall into Autumn and ready ourselves for the coming cool air and the holiday season.
Won’t be long ‘til the trees will be changing, days will be getting’ shorter, and the nights getting’ cooler. So with a big wide brim and I smile, Folksiders say “Hats Off To Harvest Moon!”
